Building & Code Enforcement Department

The Building & Code Enforcement Department consists of four divisions within one department.
  • Building Inspection Division - Conducts inspections of new structures, additions and renovations of existing structures within the city limits. This Division consists of 2 Inspectors and the Building Commissioner. 
  • Code Enforcement Division - In efforts of maintaining a clean and safe city, Code Enforcement Officers conduct inspections of properties for compliance with the minimum housing, trash and right-of way ordinances. This Division consists of 3 Code Enforcement Officers and Office Support Staff.
  • Permit Center - Responsible for the issuance of all building permits, rental registrations, license & registration renewals.
  • City Hall Maintenance - Responsible for the custodial duties of City Hall. This Division consists of 1 full-time and 1 part-time custodial staff.
