The vision of the Elkhart Fire Department is to establish a proactive mindset that reduces risks identified in the community while delivering quality service in order to protect life and property. We are a foundation of public safety achieving the highest level of performance while establishing community relationships through servant leadership.

 

Organizational Goals:

Provide our firefighters with the education, equipment, and apparatus necessary for achieving the mission.  Enhance training and performance opportunities that increase safety and efficiency. 

Create a cost efficient budget that aligns with the needs and growth of the community. 

Deliver an all-hazards emergency response to the community.

Establish a positive proactive and preventative cultural mindset that enhances the safety and efficiency of all operations, while developing relationships throughout the community.

Implement Community Risk Reduction programs that enhance the safety and quality of life within our community.

The Elkhart Fire Department is now accepting applications 12/10/18 through 02/11/19.  Completed applications can be submitted:

-in person at the the Fire Dept. Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, or

-mailed to the Fire Dept.
