Each month, the EEC, Kristen Smith-Myers & Barn Naranche, ERYT 500 certified yoga instructors from Tree of Life Yoga, partner to offer TWO free yoga class!  Come stretch and relax your body in this beautiful and relaxing natural setting. All you need is a yoga mat or towel. Registration is required as space is limited and classes fill up fast. Call (574) 293-5070 to register or for more information.

Back by popular demand: we are once again hosting a ElkhartWood Sawmill Day! A local sawyer will be setting up his portable sawmill in the ElkhartWood log yard and milling logs purchased through our ElkahrtWood program. Proceeds from log sales are used for educational and public programming. Visitors and volunteers who would like to help with the event are also welcome!

Anyone interested in purchasing logs from our ElkhartWood log yard and having them milled onsite must contact the EEC (email EECmail@coei.org or call (574) 293-5070) to reserve a spot on the schedule by Friday, October 12. Copies of our ElkhartWood log inventory are available upon request.

Logs are sold at a flat rate of $20 per log. The sawyer charges $60 per hour and $21 per foreign object hit while sawing. Contact the EEC for any questions or more information.

De vuelta por demanda popular: ¡una vez más estamos organizando un día de aserrader o de ElkhartWood! AJ Delgadillo, of Post-Waste Worm Farm, will be leading a workshop on worm composting. Learn about food waste, worms--what they do for the soil (and you!) and how they do it--and composting. You won’t leave empty-handed: come and build your own compost bin to take home with you!

Registration is required; call or email the EEC (EECmail@coei.org or (574) 293-5070) to register. The program costs $30 per compost bin, or $5 to attend (not building a compost bin).
