Staff normally arrives 30 minutes prior to opening. 

It wouldn't be winter without a spin around one of the City's most celebrated treasures. Enjoy this remarkable outdoor facility that features a path and rink for ice skating.

Lace your skates and glide away at NIBCO Water & Ice Park. Here you'll find many visitors alike swirling and twirling, enjoying their ice skating experience  while  the beautiful landscape and Elkhart River serve  as a unique backdrop.

A warming facility  enhances your experience while drinking your hot beverages and warming yourself.

Need Skates?  No problem, we stock over 200 pairs in toddler-adult sizes, adjustable skates with double runners for smaller children are also available. (Skate sizes are limited)

Skate Trainers are available to rent to assist those who may still be learning.

Concessions and rest rooms available.    


Hours are Weather Permitting

Fridays      6 pm -10 pm

Saturdays 1 pm - 5 pm & 6 pm -10 pm

Sundays   1 pm - 5 pm

  • Elkhart’s WinterFest celebration rescheduled
    Monday, December 03, 2018
    The City of Elkhart will hold its Winterfest parade and tree lighting on Friday, December 7. The festivities had previously been scheduled for Dec. 1, but were postponed due to inclement weather.
  • NIBCO Water and Ice Park to close for season
    Friday, February 16, 2018
    With warmer temperatures in the forecast, Mayor Tim Neese is inviting residents to visit NIBCO Water and Ice Park before the park officially closes for the season beginning Monday, February 19.
  • City of Elkhart to begin accepting credit card payments
    Thursday, September 14, 2017
    Residents looking to purchase a dog park membership or obtain a building permit in the city of Elkhart will soon be able to do so via credit or debit card. Mayor Tim Neese announced the change today which will be effective citywide by the end of 2017.
